The Inheritance Session Nine | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Nine ~ Blog Study

Final session.....
{all participants recieve title deeds in group settings, or see page 31 in participant book.}

Final thoughts....
The Inheritance at the end will shake out!
Everyone has a divine earthly inheritance waiting for you to claim!
Christ left a will for us when he died...make no mistake- He will return with each one of our wills.

Scriptures to Remember:
1 Peter 1:4-5
An inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.
This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time!

Acts 20:32
I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself.

James 2:5
Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

Heb 9:17 & Rev 5:1-10
A will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. Since Christ died, he made a way for each of us to have a will in heaven.  He is the only one that can open it!

Rev 11:15
The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever!

1 Cor 15
Christ will set up His heavenly kingdom...He will reign.
Earth will be reedemed completely..
The Inheritance will be complete...
We will all be given a heavenly assignment....

Remember Christ said repeatedly:

These words are TRUSTWORTHY and TRUE!

I TELL YOU THE TRUTH!

-Those who overcome--will inherit "ALL OF THIS!!"-

The Inheritance Session Eight | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Eight ~ Blog Study

Reflection:

1. As you look back over your life are there times you might have squandered some of the inheritance you have received (intimacy with God, pasts, life experiences, spiritual gifts)?

2. In what areas do you need to be careful that you do not give any of your territory over to the enemy?

3. Read Luke 15:11-32.

Homework this week:
Write in your journal about how you might have squandered some of your inheritance and how you might make better use of the inheritance that you have recieved.

Scriptures to remember:
Ephesians 1:11 Because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, he makes everything work out according to his plan.
Matthew 25:14 Like a man, going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property.
Hebrews 12:12-13 Strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees in order to make level paths for your feet.
2 Corinthians 7:10 The kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation, there's no regret for that kind of sorrow.  But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon forged against you will prevail, you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord!

The Inheritance Session Seven | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Seven ~ Blog Study

Reflection:
1. Do you feel like and believe that you have received the pledge of your inheritance, the Holy Spirit?

2. Read 1 Co. 14:7-11, Romans 12:6-8, and Eph. 1:11-14

What kingdom work do you believe you have been called to do and how has God gifted you to do it?

3. What have you been discouraged by that you need to just get over?

Homework:
Journal on the above scriptures and consider taking a Spiritual Gift Quiz.

If your church doesn't offer a spiritual gifts class, I highly recommend doing an internet search for spiritual gifts quiz and either take one online or print one out.
_______________________________________________________________________

Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him. Ephesians 1:11-14 NLT

Scriptures to remember:
Ephesians 1:18 I pray that my heart will be flooded with light so I may understand the confident hope he has given for a rich and glorious inheritance!

Romans 12:6 We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly.

2 Timothy 2:13 If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.

Hebrews 6:11 My great desire is that I will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what I hope for will come true.

Hebrews 6:12 Follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith and endurance.

Final thoughts.....

I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!

The Inheritance Session Six | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Six ~ Blog Study

Reflection:

Are there things in your past that you have had to 'put under your feet'.

Are there still things in your past that are still working against you?

What are some "life experiences" you have had that God uses in your life to touch others with His love?

Homework:

In your quiet time this week list the things God has ''entrusted" to you: your relationship with Him, your past, you life experiences, your spiritual gifts. Ask Him to heal and restore any losses, or disappointments, believing that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Scriptures to remember:

Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

Matthew 25:23 Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things.

Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart!

Colossians 3:24 Know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord Jesus Christ you are serving.

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

The Inheritance Session Five | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Five ~ Blog Study

Welcome to Session 5!
There is so much to share from this lesson...so many note card worthy verses!
I had to limit my posting to only five and gosh that was hard to do.
But I did it and below you will find them here in the main download.
The best verse that can sum up this session is.....
{Deuteronomy 10:8-9 msg}
God set apart the tribe of Levi to carry God's Covenant Chest,
to be on duty in the Presence of God, to serve him, and to bless in his name,
as they continue to do today.
And that's why Levites don't have a piece of inherited land as their kinsmen do.
God is their inheritance, as God, your God, promised them.

Reflection:
When did you choose God over everything else in this world?
Think about how the tangible promises in the Old Testament differ from the spiritual promises in the New Covenant.
Why is God, Himself like no other portion to you? What do you love about Jesus?

Homework:
Read and journal on Ps 16 & 73.

Scriptures to remember:

Exodus 32:29 You have been set apart ot the LORD today! He has blessed you this day!

Deut 32:9 For the Lords portion is His people, His alloted inheritance.

Ps 16:5 Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.

Ps 16:10 You will not abandon me, you will fill me with JOY in your Presence!

Exodus 32:26 Whoever is for the Lord, Come Forward!

Wowza girls, I have noticed on the one place site, the "likes" are shooting up like crazy!
So happy to be a part of sharing something so great!
I pray this study will speak directly to your heart as it has mine! :)

The Inheritance Session Four | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Four ~ Blog Study
Reflection:
1. Every generation is called to inherit their promised land, God is consistent.
As He is with Moses, He will be with Joshua, and He will be with you and me.
In Joshua 1:2-5, what did He promise Joshua that He has promised Moses?
2. God gives Joshua some direct instruction to ensure his success; in Joshua 1:6-9
what is commanded by God for Joshua to do so that no one will be able to stand up
against him?
3. Do you struggle with overwhelming fear at times? What do you find yourself doing with those fears?
How does God want us to handle our fears?

Homework:
This week memorize Joshua 1:8  "Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth;
meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.
Then you will be prosperous and successful."
{During your quite time this week meditate and journal on Psalm 16.}
Read it here in the NLT, but please use your own favorite version.
Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.
I said to the Lord, “You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.”
The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!
Troubles multiply for those who chase after other gods.
I will not take part in their sacrifices of blood or even speak the names of their gods.
Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine.
The land you have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance!
I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety.
For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever!!

Scriptures to remember:
1 Chronicles 28:20 Be strong and courageous, and do the work.  Don't be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you.  He will not fail you or forsake you.

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm for God can be trusted to keep his promises!

Isaiah 33:6 The Lord is my sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom and knowledge. The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

Genesis 15:6 Believe the Lord, and it will be counted to me as righteous because of my faith.

1 Corinthians 2:9 No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.

The Inheritance Session Three | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Three ~ Blog Study
Reflection:
1. What struck you most out of this session?
2. Of the Three things that we inherit:
Presence, People and Property; which one do you feel you are most missing?
3. Part of the inheritance of property is inheriting a work to do. Think about how this works out in your life. What work has the Lord called you to do?

Homework:
In your prayer time ask the Lord to reveal to you if you have any possessive tendencies.
Seeing the work that you do as a blessing from God, return that blessing by praying a blessing on those you work with. Name them one by one and ask God's best for them, now and throughout your week.

Scriptures to remember:
Deut 15:4 There should be no poor among you, for in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you.
Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go!
Psalm 2:7-8 Today I have become your Father, ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
Lev 20:24 You will possess their land, I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey.  I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the nations.
Ps 16:3 These God chosen lives- all around - what splendid friends they make!

The Inheritance Session Two | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Two ~ Blog Study

Reflection:

1. What struck you most out of this session?

2. Read Galatians 3:1-9
You began your walk with God by faith, do you ever find it a struggle to continue to walk by faith?
I love how the message bible paraphrases these verses:
Let me put this question to you: How did your new life begin?
Was it by working your heads off to please God?
Or was it by responding to God's Message to you?
Are you going to continue this craziness?

For only crazy people would think they could complete by their own efforts what was begun by God. If you weren't smart enough or strong enough to begin it, how do you suppose you could perfect it?

Did you go through this whole painful learning process for nothing?

It is not yet a total loss, but it certainly will be if you keep this up!

Answer this question:

Does the God who lavishly provides you with his own presence, his Holy Spirit, working things in your lives you could never do for yourselves, does he do these things because of your strenuous moral striving or because you trust him to do them in you?

Don't these things happen among you just as they happened with Abraham? He believed God, and that act of belief was turned into a life that was right with God. Is it not obvious to you that persons who put their trust in Christ (not persons who put their trust in the law!) are like Abraham: children of faith?

It was all laid out beforehand in Scripture that God would set things right with non-Jews by faith. Scripture anticipated this in the promise to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed in you." So those now who live by faith are blessed along with Abraham, who lived by faith—this is no new doctrine!

And that means that anyone who tries to live by his own effort, independent of God, is doomed to failure.

3. Do you believe that God wants to bless you and through you, to bless others?

Homework:
With either your time, words or money, find a way to generously, and if possible, anonymously bless someone.
scriptures to remember:
Genesis 12:1 Leave and go to the land I will show you.
Genesis 15:1 I am your shield, your very great reward.
John 1:16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
Galatians 3:9 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith!
Galatians 4:7 I am no longer a slave to sin- but a daughter and since I am His daughter, God has made me also an heiress.

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session One ~ Blog Study
Introduction Session One
"The year that changed your life?"
So thrilled to be sharing The Inheritance by Beth Moore with fellow bloggers once again!
The Lord really has used this study for me personally to grow and continues to speak to others through me in regards to it.  When I started merging my bible study, homeschool and scrapbook blogs.. I had no idea what the result would look like or if I could even pull it off. I knew I wasn't able to maintain three seperate blogs anymore but new I had readers at each one I desperately wanted to preserve.

Email after email, tweets, fb messages, comments after comment...
I am happy to start aflame to ANew Journey in Blog world.
Ok, on to the study ... enjoy the process as you ReNew!
Living Proof Ministries has completely outdone theirselves yet again.. so happy they did ;)
I will be linking to The Inheritance audio from oneplace.com for each session. There is an option to purchase the download if you wish or just listen for FREE! You will need the workbook

SESSION 1

PART THREE:

"We have certain rights pertaining to inheritance as daughtership and heiress of God."
Girls we are Princesses of the one true King!
And heiress' according to promise.

{You, LORD, are all I want!
You are my CHOICE,
and you keep me safe.
You make my LIFE pleasant,
and my FUTURE is bright.}
Psalm 16:5-6 CEV

Small Group Discussion Questions
(this is not the listening guide)

1. What struck you most out of the first session?
2. Galatians 3:26-29  What makes you an heir?
By faith in Christ you are in direct relationship with God. Your baptism in Christ was not just washing you up for a fresh start. It also involved dressing you in an adult faith wardrobe—Christ's life, the fulfillment of God's original promise. In Christ's family there can be no division, you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, since you are Christ's family, then you are Abraham's famous "descendant," heirs according to the covenant promises.
3. Are you bored with life?  What does that mean about whether you are in the will of God?
(refers to page 3: if we are bored.)

Homework:
Memorize this week Psalm 16:6!

Scriptures to remember:
[Key verse for this study!] Ps 16:5-6 The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed; I have a beautiful inheritance.
Romans 8:9 I am controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit.
Galatians 3:26 I am a daughter of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 4:7 Since I am a child of God, I'm also an heiress, with complete access to the inheritance.
Eph 2:7 The Lord will show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward me in Christ Jesus.

The Inheritance | Daughter of the King

Try and convince my sweet eight year old Raeleen that she is to young for a Beth Moore bible study!
I suppose this could be my doing...
Ok, I admit it...all of her life... her Mama (that would be me) has been a lover of a good intense bible study!
Being that my very first Beth Moore bible study was Living Beyond Yourself ..the internet study...
and sweet Raeleen was hanging out in her playpen or in my lap as I watched the videos and did my homework.  Dial-up no less, so yes, I watched Beth's hands move like she was doing the robot.  But nevertheless, I was instantly hooked...and obviously Raeleen must of been too.  Eight years and counting. :)
Never underestimate the power of God's Word.  Don't think for a minute you and I as parents cannot spiritually influence our baby before their first chocolate birthday cake!
I am thrilled that my actions have inspired a
tabbed  bible carrying,
passage underlining,
morning devotional reading,
index card writing,
and perhaps even a......
Future LPM Siesta Scripture Memory Team spiral index card carrier!

I have been blessed with a smart, talented little girl to teach and train up how to be not only a Mighty Woman of God some day, but now right now at a young age, I firmly believe with everything I am that instilling biblical values in our young ones heart is critical for the time we live.

Timothy recieved a beautiful inheritance of love for God..
"That precious memory triggers another: your honest faith—and what a rich faith it is, handed down from your grandmother Lois to your mother Eunice, and now to you! And the special gift of ministry you received when I laid hands on you and prayed—keep that ablaze! God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible." 2 Timothy 1:5-7 MSG

Did you know?.. That is the same inheritance we are to leave our children?
I believe.. When our children see a consistent devotion to God,
they are encouraged to follow.
Proverbs 22:6
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

The Inheritance | Beth Moore | Introduction

Girls, it's time for The Inheritance study!
I am so excited to go through this study again.
For my NCCTK girls, we have already completed this study and I was in the midst of doing Breaking Free here on the blog so wasn't able to put the Inheritance on the blog as well.
BUT now this is our summer study at CTK and would love for you all to join with me as I get going on The Inheritance journey once again.  This is indeed one powerful study....
mouth opening, tear jerking, eye widening study.....reminding each of us that we have
a beautiful inheritance and not only a heavenly inheritance but an earthly inheritance as well.
I mean,  once I realized that I'm not only living for a heavenly reward which is my inheritance, but also that I have been given an earthly inheritance...ground under my feet and what in the world am I doing with it to glorify Him?
~I tell ya this study will make a woman place her feet out of her bed in the morning running!~

Ok, so the details....
Every week I will post the discussion questions from the video as well as ....
yep, you guessed it, notecard verses.  Living Proof has created a cute notepad if anyone is interested in purchasing it you can do so by clicking on the Living Proof link above. It is the notepad- I will be using as a background to house my weekly notecard verses.
If you are joining this study here on the blog or missed a week at the church...
you can find all nine downloads in MP3 format HERE.

At the end of the study I compile a little binder ring full of all the notecard verses for the girls at church, but if you are joining me here on the blog only and would like a set, please leave a comment at the end of the study and I would love to send you a set. :)

Happy to walk along side you,
~Melanie
