Casual thoughts are thoughts that have not yet been taken captive in obedience to Christ.
Captivating thoughts are consuming unhealthy thoughts.

"Every high thing" are things, people or circumstances that outgrow our thoughts of God.
Cast down the high places in our lives or they will eventually cast us down!

Woohoooo!   Girls, Are you ready for week 8! 
After the past two weeks of literally 'breaking free' from some tough emotional stuff;  we are headed into some 'bright light' as we discover God's Unfailing Love!
Now that's exciting to me! :)
The love of God is absolutely life saving, I hope you'll grab ahold of his word this week and get ready to experience your God like never before.  This week is so enlightening I had to read ahead to day three.  I won't post the homework ahead, just know...it's really good!

UNFAILING LOVE!

A sweet friend of mine commented to me the other day:Melanie why do you place an exclamation mark after almost every single scripture you write?
I responded "I do"?  Then I had to remark that the Lords Word deserves a great big exclamatory statement every single time his words are mentioned quoted or stated.  I cannot speak his word, read his word even breathe in his word without a shout, a smile and to put it simply....I can't contain myself...His word is Alive and Active...and that EXCITES ME! lol.  So my excitement explodes onto to the pages of my writting.  Ask anyone who knows me,  I speak with an exclamation mark anyhow! :)  What can I say, I write like I speak.
Now onto the lesson for today....
Freedom of Unfailing Love!

The LORD Is Good to His People
1Shout praises to the LORD!
He is good to us,
and his love never fails.

There is a powerful message in that Psalm alone.  Bask in his unfailing love girls.  Read it and re-read it, then write down a couple or ten of the verses on note cards and memorize them.

I have to giggle a bit here...I just read this verse in the message bible...
"Surprise us with love at daybreak;
then we'll skip and dance all the day long. " MSG
Isn't that just fitting for God's sense of humor?
His love is "anew" every day- EVERY DAY!
This fills our hearts with PEACE and our feet with dances of PRAISE!

Ok, I did indeed take a snapshot of my workbook...I really felt the need to
share what this part of the lesson really stands for.
I drew my tree .....a line for the soil.....
My personal testimony,
I have really strong roots from a strong foundation that was instilled in me during my childhood and my upbringing.   Ok, not bragging here!  Just so I am clear, I have many broken roots, some of which have been literally ripped out root and all!  Then, I have brokenness, representing my broken roots, I could get into a long discussion about brokenness but no need as that is exactly why we are in this study!
Then I placed some new roots....have fitting is it that with this visual example we have been given to draw something as simple as a tree with roots could have such a powerful impact! Go Beth! :)
