Digital Project Life | Week Fifty - One

Welcome to Week 51!  One week left.  As I wrap up these final two weeks, I find myself anxious to just 'be done with 2012', then I realized instead of focusing on what is ahead ..... stop the "Rush" and "Reflect" on what is "Present" ..... "Right" now.

December Daily | Days Twenty-One - Twenty-Five

I look forward to this project every year, as it comes to a close I am ready to wrap up the memories and display my digital mini album. Here we go days twenty-one - twenty-five.

Day Twenty-One (click on the images for a clearer image)
Day Twenty-Two
Day Twenty-Three
Day Twenty-Four
Day Twenty-Five
Some of you have asked what I do with my digital albums once they are complete.
I create a slideshow and display it on my computer monitor.
I save the entire album to a CD and give to family members.
I save the entire album on a flash drive (USB) and play the slideshow on our family TV.
Our TV has a USB port that can have a card plugged into it all the time, you just change the settings to view. So really it's like having a coffee table album out all the time, just on your TV instead.  I love it!
To me: this is the simplest way to save our family memories.

proceed with caution- history coming up......
Most of you already know this last ramble of words, but for you who don't ...
I have plenty of traditional albums stored away in the attic. Yes, in the attic, I don't do bookshelves anymore. You see my scrapbook obsession began in 1997. I have had the scrapbook room filled to the brim with paper, supplies, die cut machines, stamps, punches, you name it.  I even owned a little scrapbook shop for a short time. I started homeschooling in 2006 and with that came saving binders and book after book and file after file.  Sorta overwhelmed me with 'stuff'. And digging up bones is exhausting so this all must wait for another post.  Good for you if you are still reading. Maybe after this house we are building is complete I'll get every single one of those albums out, surround myself and take a photo and attempt to explain why I do all things digitally. Whew! That one little paragraph wore my little brain out.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my December Daily update.

December Daily | Days six - twelve

Welcome to December Daily.  If this is your first time visiting,  My projects are 100% digital.  This is a digital mini book.  This post covers days six - twelve.  You can view my original post with my foundation pages here: December Daily 2012 | Foundation Pages and days one - five here: December Daily | Days one - five.
Day Six:
I used a December Story card by Ali Edwards and added some tree stickers from Carina Gardners digital kit.  The collage is full of random snapshots of Raeleen and I wearing our new scarves.
Day Seven:
I used a card from Carinas kit to house the collage of the kids. Ribbon wrapped around the two corners.
Day Eight:
Love, love, love our front porch 'glow'.  My favorite and first decoration to pull out of storage.
Day Nine:
Moon 'my cat' staring out the window at hundreds of birds that pretty much live on our property. I made the digital buttons and color coordinated with Carinas digital kit.
Day Ten:
Chilly weather around here.  Only in Oklahoma: one day 27 and 61 a few days later.  Raeleen and Ruger were feeling a bit under the weather so I snapped a couple of shots of them while watching a movie.  I added my iPhone shot of the weather strip between the two pages.
Day Eleven:
Riley brought our deer out of the attic and placed them in the front yard.  I am crazy about this photo!  Nothing better than a sunset in the background of some twinkle!
Day Twelve:
Twelve 12 Twelve! Another chilly evening wrapped up around the fire. I created the word art in between Carinas tree stickers. The iPhone shot of my calendar and sitting by the fire- side by side.

There ya have it.  Days six - twelve. Thanks for stopping by, let me know what you think.?.

Digital Project Life | Week Forty-Nine + A Freebie

Welcome to another project life update.  I cannot believe it is mid december already.  Only three project life updates remain in twenty-twelve. Guess what? There are only two weeks from Christmas. "2" weeks. Oh my goodness!  Not counting our twenty-five days of stocking stuffers.... would it surprise you to know I haven't purchased one gift. Not one. I operate better under pressure. *grin.
On the first spread I added a turquoise project life title card topped with a cobalt edition star element. I gave the star a bit of a shadow 3D effect.
Here is a closeup of the insert page. I love this free holiday card downloaded from AC Digitals. During our trip to the mall I took some snapshots of Christmas goodness. If your wondering, yes, I was at the mall Friday, and still didn't buy a gift.
On to the flip side of the insert and the right side of the album spread.  I snapped a shot of us going up the escalator, missed all the mall decor, but still a fun shot.  I added another free holiday card from AC Digitals. The right side of this layout is complete with a little sunset love, sunshine shadows, kitty cuddles, helping in the kitchen, funky glass wearing and the best angry bird face ever if I do say so myself.  The word art journal card is included in a freebie set I have for you over on my facebook page.
A fun week indeed.  Moving onward into the real meaning of Christmas.
I am looking forward to 2013.  I have a post in the works to reveal all I have planned.

How's your Project Life coming along?
Finishing up or Catching up 2012?
Are you planning for 2013?
What project life edition are you using?
Are you traditional, hybrid, digital or maybe just considering digital for the first time?

I have another freebie for you this week.  I call it Chalkboard Inspiration.
Download it here:
