The Inheritance Session Seven | Beth Moore

The Inheritance by Beth Moore ~ Session Seven ~ Blog Study

Reflection:
1. Do you feel like and believe that you have received the pledge of your inheritance, the Holy Spirit?

2. Read 1 Co. 14:7-11, Romans 12:6-8, and Eph. 1:11-14

What kingdom work do you believe you have been called to do and how has God gifted you to do it?

3. What have you been discouraged by that you need to just get over?

Homework:
Journal on the above scriptures and consider taking a Spiritual Gift Quiz.

If your church doesn't offer a spiritual gifts class, I highly recommend doing an internet search for spiritual gifts quiz and either take one online or print one out.

Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him. Ephesians 1:11-14 NLT

Scriptures to remember:
Ephesians 1:18 I pray that my heart will be flooded with light so I may understand the confident hope he has given for a rich and glorious inheritance!

Romans 12:6 We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly.

2 Timothy 2:13 If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.

Hebrews 6:11 My great desire is that I will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what I hope for will come true.

Hebrews 6:12 Follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith and endurance.

Final thoughts.....

I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!
