My 2010 Resolutions | Part 6

Boost my Confidence

I am so thrilled to share with you what I have studied about confidence!

According to Vine's Biblical Dictionary confidence means that which stands, or is set, under, a foundation, beginning.....the quality of confidence which leads one to stand under, endure, or undertake anything.

We are talking heavenly CPR here!  You and I can have the utmost confidence that our God will perform spiritual CPR on us whenever we call to him.  Ever feel like you need a little spiritual resuscitation?

Let's dive into the Word and see what the Lord has to say about our confidence.

1. The Lord Knows

First of all girls, the Lord knows!  The Lord knows!

Talk about spiritual CPR.  He has a plan for us and that plan will be brought to completion no matter what!

All the days ordained for me

were written in your book

before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:16

He knows us far better than we know ourselves, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.  Romans 8:28-29

The ultimate good!!

I am still confident of this:

I will see the goodness of the LORD. Psalm 27:13

2. Transform Our Lives

We have to be willing to surrender ourselves to him completely, wholeheartedly!  Then watch the joy and peace fill you.

Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves,

but our competence comes from God. 2 Cor 3:5

3. Approaching God

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Eph 3:12

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14

The fruit of righteousness will be peace;

the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.

Isaiah 32:17

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4:16

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. Hebrews 10:35
