Week Two Homework | Covenant 2-5 | Kay Arthur

When the World Hates You

If you are stunned by what you learned yesterday, todays homework will enlighten your mind!
We pick up in 1 Sam 18, 19 & 20.
What does God do for His covenant people?
Lets take a look at Psalm 105:8-15...now that you have read it let me outline it for us.
-God remembers His covenant forever!
-Everlasting covenant!
-Noone will harm a member of the covenant.
-God protects His covenant people!

Acts 8 and 9 we learn about Saul, who is later referred to as the apostle Paul.
What was he doing before he encountered Jesus?
Saul began to destroy the church. He went from house to house, taking men and women as prisoners to Jerusalem.
But as he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
This is when Jesus spoke to Saul and said, I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.
When Saul was renewed his sight he was baptized and began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.

God uses His Word to cleanse, renew, restore and to even stun us!
Have an amazing day girls, ~Melanie
